- These are the races we will consider in 2025:
King County Executive
King County Council, District 1
Seattle City Mayor
Seattle City Council, Pos. 8
Seattle City Council, Pos. 9
Seattle City Attorney
Seattle Public Schools, District 2
Seattle Public Schools, District 4
Port of Seattle Commissioner, Pos. 1
Port of Seattle Commissioner, Pos. 3
Port of Seattle Commissioner, Pos. 4
(Seattle Public Schools District 5 and 7 will be considered after the Primary, when they become city-wide races for the General Election)
HOW TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE 46th DEMS ENDORSEMENT:
Step 1: Complete the King County Democrats Questionnaire here: https://www.kcdems.org/candidate-questionnaire/.
- Completed questionnaires are required and must be submitted via the KCD website; you do not need to print it out or email it to us.
- Questionnaires must be completed no later than five days before the endorsement meeting at which you would be considered, or by 9 AM of the day after the last day of candidate filing [May 10] whichever is later.
Step 2: Attend the Endorsement Meeting at which your office is considered. While not required for endorsement, the endorsement meeting is your best chance to make your case to our members.
Per Endorsement Rules 5.a.:
- To be eligible for endorsement, A candidate must be nominated by a member of the 46th Legislative District.
- Each nominated candidate and/or their representative or speakers on their behalf will be entitled to address the body for two (2) minutes total.
- Speeches will be made in the order in which candidates were nominated.
Any candidate receiving sixty percent (60.00%) of the ballots cast for that contest will receive an endorsement.

When is the 46th's Endorsement meeting?
Our endorsement meeting for 2025 are not yet scheduled. However, they will all be held virtually on Zoom, with the link published 10 days prior to the meeting, on the calendar linked to this website.
Do candidates have to sit for an endorsements committee interview?
No. We are a membership-led organization. For the 2025 election cycle, you will simply need to submit your questionnaire at the link above and attend our endorsement meeting (or send a surrogate). Our membership reads your questionnaire, does their own research on you, and we make our endorsement choices as a body.
