Bring Useful Items to Aurora Commons
The 46th District Dems Executive Board has decided to offer mutual aid support to Aurora Commons.
Aurora Commons offers support to unhoused neighbors in the Aurora Ave. area. In addition to responding to physical needs, they offer community, connection, and compassion. They are in the 46th District and need volunteers and in-kind contributions. Like many of the nonprofits doing good work, their budget was recently decimated by cuts in federal grants due to Trump’s ugly vulture budget.
They are looking for a number of donated items (see below) with a high priority for men’s clothing.
** As a first step we would like to ask you to bring in kind donations for them to our 46th District Dems General Election Blitz Day on Sunday, October 19, at North Seattle College.
If you have the items you would like to donate, but cannot bring them to the event on the 19th, our Executive Board member Kathy Sakahara is happy to pick them up from you. To arrange a pickup, or with any questions, please email her at [email protected].
