Candidates for April 2026 Executive Board Vacancy

Candidates for the 46th Legislative District Democrats Executive Board

The following members have self-nominated for the vacant Executive Board position that will be voted on at the April 21, 2026 Regular Membership Meeting.

For Member At Large (1 position):

Lisa Stuebing

I believe that our party attracts the best people and I enjoy helping out to make the world a better place. I have experience, serving in many capacities for our party including past Chair.

Currently, I serve on the University Unitarian Social Justice Committee and will be coordinating the monthly charitable giving campaigns. In the past, I have been entrusted with identifying causes and recipients as Funds Allocation Chair for the Senior Care Coalition and awarding scholarships for Girl Scout Camp.

In the fight for our Democracy: I have been active in the street with actions big and small: major marches, holding letters over I-5 with Alphabet, taking the train downtown to the Federal Building and ensuring smaller community action is well attended. You may have seen me with my beautiful long-eared, spotty Bluetick Coonhound, Pearl. She likes to chant and sing too!

Against ICE: I have learned a speedy method of sliding rings onto whistles, helped develop a training for faith communities to keep ICE out of buildings, served as a court watcher with the Riverton Court Project and walked neighborhood businesses with Washington Neighborhood Defense (WAND) training them on how to keep customers and employees safe.

Electing Democrats: Canvassing and postcarding are my thing. An experienced PCO, I almost always walk extra precincts. For Harris / Walz, I spent a week with a friend canvassing in ruby red Prescott Valley, AZ. The guys with the guns were already at the ballot drop boxes! When Abigail Spanberger won the Governorship in Virginia, I was glad to have sent 300 postcards in support of her campaign. I am currently helping to retain our experienced PCOs in the 46th.

I look forward to serving! With many thanks!

Heather Doyle Heinnickel (she/her)

My name is Heather Doyle Heinnickel, and I would be proud to serve as a Member-at-Large for the 46th district Democrats Executive Board. I am currently the PCO for precinct 46-1404 in Licton Springs, a member of the PCO committee, and a Delegate for the 46th at the Washington State Democratic Convention in June. My educational background is in social work, and my professional background is in diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education. I have also spent many years as a stay-at-home parent and Girl Scout leader, and I have two children in Seattle Public Schools.

I joined the 46th because I am passionate about preserving our democracy, and I feel it is important for me to show up as a woman of color in our district. I am always happy to pitch in wherever I can be useful, whether that means knocking on doors in multiple precincts, assisting with 46th district events, or helping with PCO communications and outreach. As an E-Board Member-at-Large I will continue to focus on serving our community, and I will listen to and amplify the voices of our members and neighbors to the best of my ability.

I appreciate this opportunity to provide additional support to our organization, and I thank you for your consideration.
