Programs and Events
THANK YOU to everyone who joined us at 46th District Democrats events held in October! These included ...
October 5: Pancakes for Progress @ the Seattle Labor Temple
We stirred, we flipped and together, 46th members helped make the Pancakes for Progress event happen! We had a great turnout and it was a powerful way for people to connect with the candidates and issues before going out to engage with the community. Our own 46th Legislative Representative Gerry Pollet spoke passionately about the importance of defeating the ballot initiatives. Thanks to all who attended!
October 6: Program on Critical Ballot Initiatives + Elect Alexis Mercedes Rinck campaign
The 46th District Democrats gathered for a fun and informative program to learn about the deceptive and dangerous ballot initiatives on the November ballot – I-2109, I-2117, I-2124, and I-2066. We also explored Prop 1, and heard from King County Councilmember, Rod Dembowski, who spoke on the proposition and ballot initiatives. Lastly, we heard from a representative of Seattle City Council candidate Alexis Mercedes Rinck. Huge thanks to Program Co-chairs, Kathy Bentson and Sylvia Haven for producing yet another enjoyable program!
October 12: GOTV Packet Assembly
Many hands made light work, at our General Election GOTV Packet Assembly party! Together, we prepped over 8,000 pieces of literature for our Precinct Committee Officers to doorbell with, as they encourage voters to support our slate of endorsed candidates. Thanks to all who helped out, and especially to PCO Chair, Marc Auerbach for organizing, and to 46th member Kathy Sakahara for opening up her home for this event.
