Final Night of 2020 Democratic National Convention

Wow.

When the week first began, I think we were all wondering what an impactful Democratic National Convention would look when done virtually.

After two great nights, Day Three was so powerful - we heard from the talented (Billie Eilish, Kerry Washington), the most courageous (Gabby Giffords), the glass-ceiling breakers (Elizabeth Warren, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi), and we heard from President Barack Obama in one of his most compelling speeches ever.

We capped it all off by hearing from the nominee for Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris!

Notable moment from Wednesday night:

“I did hope, for the sake of our country, that Donald Trump might show some interest in taking the job seriously; that he might come to feel the weight of the office.

But he never did.

Donald Trump hasn’t grown into the job because he can’t. And the consequences of that failure are severe.”

- former President Barack Obama

You will also find coverage on MSNBC, CNN and C-SPAN.  Please check your local listings for exact channel.

  • Best viewing on traditional TV on Monday seemed to have been PBS and C-SPAN.  MSNBC and CNN both had full coverage, but giant captions (on the Chyron), which covered some of the bottom of the screen blocked some messages that were a part of the convention stream.
  • Big Three networks had about an hour of coverage in prime time on Monday and Tuesday.

Join us at 8pm (or right after the final gavel, whichever comes first) for a 46th LD and guests after-convention party and chat.  Zoom link here:
