Week 2 Fighting 46th Organizing Challenge!
It's Week 2 of the Fighting 46th Organizing Challenge and we are picking up speed! If you missed our kick-off last week here's the scoop:
Step 1: Join the Challenge!
If we are going to grow to 1,000 active members by 2024, we're going to need all the help we can get! Have you renewed your membership this year? Do you have friends, family, and neighbors in the district who might be interested in joining? Now is the time to reach out and have that conversation.
But what's a challenge without some friendly competition? The district member who recruits the most new members over the next ten weeks will be recognized at our May endorsement meeting with honorable mentions for our top 5 recruiters. Simply send names of people you have recruited to [email protected] and we will verify before the winners are announced. There is also a field on the membership form on the website for your recruits to list you as their recruiter. Send one name at a time or all at once, we will make sure you get credit!
Step 2: Tag your friends on social media!
Keep an eye out for posts from the 46th LD Dems on Facebook and Twitter about the Fighting 46th Organizing Challenge and tag your friends! Invite friends and neighbors to follow our pages to stay engaged with our local grassroots community.
Step 3: Join the Phonebank!
Not sure who to recruit? We will have a continuous phonebank running for the next ten weeks targeting strong democratic voters. This means you can join whenever you have a free hour and connect with like minded individuals we think may be interested. We will also have Zoom office hours if you are new to phonebanking or to say hi to other callers and call together even while remote. Zoom office hours will be Sunday from 2pm - 4pm.

Reminder! March Meeting Weds., March 17th - 7pm! Environmental Caucus 5:30pm!
Reminder of the March Meeting; Wednesday, March 17th, 7:00 PM
PLEASE register for the meeting at your earliest convenience. You will prevent a bottleneck in credentialing at the beginning of the meeting.This month, our primary focus will be the discussion of and adoption of the endorsement rules for 2021. We also have a resolution to consider, a word from King Conservation District Commissioner Chris Porter, and updates on a key treasury issue.

The proposed resolution on decriminalizing entheogens previously submitted was withdrawn by its maker for this meeting - they intend to re-write it for better reading, and to address some recent changes in law surrounding the issue, and re-submit the resolution in the near future.We will not have an extra program this month, as we expect the consideration of our other business to require a fair amount of time.
Please take a look at the documents for the meeting, listed below.
For this specific meeting, we STRONGLY recommend that for optimal participation you have at least the endorsement rules proposal printed out, or have it available on a second device. We will not be able to screen share more than a half page at a time, and you may wish to refer back and forth within the document during discussion.

Remember, you must be a current (2021) member of the 46th District Democrats to receive a vote code. If you were a member last year, you can renew up to the beginning of the meeting and still vote.
