Help T’wina Nobles Win in the 28th LD: Fundraiser Tonight!

Remember: Sending our excellent 46th LD legislative delegation to Olympia isn’t the only thing we need in order to drive progressive change in our state. With the challenges we face in the next session, we need to send more Democratic allies with them. This election season, we are supporting a key State Senate race in Pierce County, LD28, where University Place School Board member and President/CEO of the Tacoma Urban League T’wina Nobles won the primary race by a mere 235 votes out of 44,000 cast! We know the General Election can flip the 28th LD from Red to Blue, but it will be just as close.

Those who attended our Zoom summer picnic in July and met her know that T’wina’s story and her life's work make her candidacy impressive and worthy of our support, and I’m asking 46th LD Democrats to show up for her in a big way. If we as Democrats are committed to getting big money out of politics, it’s up to those of us who can do so to support candidacies like T’wina’s. We know she’ll stand up for our values in Olympia, so let’s stand up for her now. One key opportunity coming up that I wanted to pass along ASAP is a fundraiser with Gov. Jay Inslee this Wednesday, 9/30 @5pm, helping to ensure she isn’t massively outspent by Republican business interests. Hear from her and understand the change she'll bring to the State Senate! And we’ll follow-up that action by focusing on supporting their GOTV phonebank efforts every Thursday from 5 – 7:30pm. I hope you can join us!

Weekly GOTV Phonebank 9/28, @5-7:30pm

Less than 6 weeks from Election Day! These coming weeks are crucial for getting involved and getting out the vote! Every day counts from now to Nov 3!

We need you! Join the 46th LD GOTV efforts and Phonebank with us Every Monday evening until the General Election! Next phonebank is Monday, Sept. 28, 2020, 5pm - 7:30pm. Important Links below.

Every day the chaos and noise is deafening. It's easy to want to tune out, vent in social media and feel helpless. However, YOU have the power to make change!

COVID-19 has forced us to pivot our outreach approach. We cannot safely conduct in-person canvassing and instead have focused our efforts in an evening of phone banking. It's not as intimidating as it seems. We have training and scripts that easily guide you through your calls. While there are many efforts focused on the national scene we also need to drive support to get our local, state and federal officials elected to office.

Ballots are scheduled to be mailed on October 14th in Washington state. Here in the 46th Legislative District, maximizing turnout is key to bringing progressive change to our state. Whether it’s returning our excellent delegation back to the legislature or bringing decisive vote totals for statewide offices and initiatives, what happens in the 46th District is crucial.

Join your local neighbors and be sure to sign up every Monday starting at 5:00 pm for 1.5 hours of making calls and being active! Please be sure to sign-up at both links, as you will be using both concurrently on the night of the phone bank.

Date/Time: Mon, September 28, 5pm – 7:30pm - Training begins at 5pm

Get involved! We are also posting on our website calendar other ways to be active as well as election information. Check it out!

Yard Signs - Last Call! We still have signs available on a first-come, first-serve basis through Saturday, October 3. Simply let us know that you are interested for available yard signs by clicking on the link below. We’ll reach out to you to arrange for a no-contact delivery or pick-up from one of our neighborhood sign distribution locations.

Lastly, we are still looking for volunteers in the 46th for all the outreach efforts that are upcoming, so if you haven’t yet filled out the sign-up form, you can do so here: GOTV Form.

In Solidarity,

GOTV Team, 46th LD Democrats
