46th Dems Rules Review & Comment Opportunity

Greetings 46th District Democrats –

JOIN US for a Rules Review & Comment Opportunity, Wednesday, Feb. 26, 7-8:30pm on Zoom.

The Bylaws & Rules Committee is reviewing our current rules for any “house-keeping” changes or clarifications that would improve the rules. We welcome input from current members in this process. We expect a vote on any rules changes to happen at the March and/or April Regular Membership meetings.

How to Provide Comments or Ask Questions:

  1. Email your comments or questions on the Bylaws, the Standing Rules, or the Endorsement Rules to [email protected]  

    Tara Gallagher and Margaret Shield, the Co-Chairs of Bylaws & Rules Committee, will receive that message and record your input for discussion by the committee.

  2. Participate in a meeting of the Bylaws & Rules Committee to discuss comments and changes:

    • Wednesday, February 26, at 7:00 – 8:30pm on Zoom. Register here.

    • Thursday, March 6 at 7:00pm (if needed). Register here.

Call to Meeting - February 18, 2025

Hello 46th District Democrats --

This is your official CALL TO MEETING for the February 18, 2025 46th District Democrats Regular Membership Meeting, on Zoom.

DATE: Tuesday, February 18, 2025

LOCATION: This meeting will be held on Zoom

To request an accommodation, please follow the steps outlined on the 46th Dems Accommodations Request Process. Forty-eight hours notice is appreciated.

Eligible voters will receive a voting code (for balloted votes only), at the email address provided for their 46th District Democrats membership, the night before the scheduled meeting. 🔵 REVIEW MEMBERSHIP STATUS:

Memberships expire on January 31 of each year, in accordance with our Standing Rules.

If you wish to vote at this month's meeting, you must be a 2025 Member. There are 3 ways to accomplish this:

1) You purchased a new membership by January 29 (e.g. 21 days before the Feb. 18 meeting)
2) You were
elected as a PCO for the 2025-2026 biennium, or
3) Paid members from the previous year (i.e. 2024) can renew at any time (or be granted a dues waiver), and your membership will become active 24 hours later (i.e. if you renew by 7pm on Feb. 17, you can vote at the Feb. 18 meeting)

New/non-renewing members will have their memberships become active 21 days after paying dues (or being granted a dues waiver).
